Submit a complaint or give a compliment
Do you have a complaint about public areas or about the municipal organisation? Or would you like to give a compliment? Let the council know.
Complaint about something in a public area
Is something broken or damaged on your street, for example, street lighting or paving stones? Is your wheelie bin broken or hasn't it been emptied, or is the underground container full or blocked? Report this to the council straight away. This includes if there is a problem with maintenance of the green areas, or with litter in the street, or if you are experiencing nuisance, for example, during an event.
Please call 14 076 (including outside of office hours) if there is a hazardous situation or if something causes a disturbance.
Complaint about a decision
You can submit an objection if you disagree with a decision the council has made.
Complaint about the council
If you are not happy with the information, communication, procedures, the council’s policy or the way in which you are treated by an employee, you can submit a complaint.
The council will try to contact you within a few days to discuss your complaint and deal with it. By law, a complaint must be dealt with within 6 weeks.
If you do not agree with the way in which the council dealt with your complaint, you can contact the Ombudsman.
Give a compliment
If you are happy with the service you have received or with a council employee, feel free to give a compliment.
