Items found
General
If you find something, you can keep hold of it, or hand this in to the council. If you find a passport, ID card or driving licence, you must hand this in to the council.
Keeping hold of an item
Report the item(s) at verlorenofgevonden.nl. If the owner claims the item within 1 year, you must return this. If this person does not claim the item within 1 year, you are the new owner.
Handing the item in to the council
During opening hours, hand this in to the 'gevonden en verloren voorwerpen' (lost and found) desk at Breda City Hall. You do not need an appointment.
You can also collect an item that has been found from the desk (this does not apply to a Dutch passport, identity card or driving licence). You do not need an appointment.
Found bicycle, moped or scooter
Report the item online through the lost and found website. If you do not wish to keep hold of a bicycle, moped or scooter that you have found, you can hand this in at the Bicycle Depot.
