Bicycle removal
Has your bicycle or moped been removed? If your bicycle or moped is dangerously or wrongly parked, or has been left for too long, this will be removed by the council. A notice will be posted on these bicycles and mopeds and, after 30 minutes, they will be taken to the Bicycle Depot. You can collect your bicycle or moped there.
Has your bicycle or moped been removed?
The national website verlorenofgevonden.nl (Dutch) lists all bicycles, mopeds and scooters that have been found or removed by the council. On this website, within 2 working days, the council lists all bicycles and mopeds that it has removed. If you cannot find your bicycle or moped on the website, you can visit the Bicycle Depot during opening hours. You don't need an appointment.
When you collect your bicycle or moped, you must:
- prove that the bicycle or moped is yours, for example, by presenting a receipt or the key to the lock
- show a valid identity document
- pay a € 25 fee for handling and transport (payable by debit card only)

Every day, the council removes wrecked, abandoned and wrongly parked bicycles and mopeds. In Breda, bicycles and mopeds are cleared from the places where they cause the most inconvenience: in the city centre, around Breda Station and all shopping centres. The storage period for bicycles and mopeds with an estimated market value below € 150 is 6 weeks. Other bicycles and mopeds are kept for 13 weeks. Bicycles and mopeds that are not reclaimed become the property of the council.

Making an objection
You can submit an objection to the Municipal Executive (het College van burgemeester en wethouders) if you do not agree with the removal of your bicycle or moped.
